the fourth years are graduating tomorrow.  i can't believe that in 2 weeks i will be a fourth year.  by the power of the gods i have finished all my competencies earlier than i expected.  now i just have to finish the measly restorative requirements of third year which should be accomplished by friday.  i should be thinking about the future of my career now.  where i want to be after next year but i guess i've already made up my mind to be not as ambitious as i was when i first entered this school.  not really thinking about any specialties b/c i feel like i'm not ready to commit to any particular aspect of dentistry....all of which i have not done enough of nor have the boards scores for.  kind of taking the easy way out and just gonna look for a gpr or aegd tho i don't even feel like looking into them.

Just read "Reading Lolita In  Tehran"
Feeling very illiterate.  Haven't read more than half the authors that it mentions.  I especially can't stand reading James....though I may have to give it another go now.

happy be-lated lunar new years!
happy b-lated valentine's day!

so our little joy luck club continues w/ the next b-day celebration that went down tonight.  didn't quite get down to gramercy tavern for Dr. G's b-day but did get to a nice cozy restaurant on the upper west side.  pretty good deal for the prixe fix menu.  will be having a draught on these b-day dinners as the next one is mine in june...but i'm sure we'll find other excuses to go out.

ortho exam sucked today but i'm sure i passed.  then just sat in class for the rest of the day...real exciting...got some good sleeping in and learned a few new things on my dell axim.  long day tomorrow....there shall be some more sleeping in child abuse seminar, hope i don't get any crazies in triage tomorrow.

aaaahhh...nothing in the world like good food in ur stomach    been totally splurging on food this past 2 days.  last night, the girls and i went out for Dr. B's very belated b-day dinner.  we went to this french restaurant, Pastis that we wanted to go to for Dr. A's b-day... it was pretty nice.  very busy on a Wed. night.  my fish was awesome.  it was the first time i had fish w/ a head and tail on it  that wasn't in a chinese restaurant    the warm chocolate cake was really good too  hehe...it was fun making fun of the older pple at the table....except for Dr. K who i can't believe she is handling school, 2 kids and a hubby.

went to Tabla tonight.  it was a restaurant that i've heard much about from my old boss Dr. S.  he used to go there w/ his wife a lot and have said a lot of good things about the place.  Tabla was definitely nice...and surprisingly big.  it had an indian-american flavor.  the bread was really good   i had this  very interesting fluke tartare...i don't think i'll ever have it again but it was cool to try.  J's duck  was pretty good.  the entree's were awesome.  i had this very yummy  cod over a mushroom  spinach thing and J had two kinds of pork over risotto.  dessert was really good.  the pear bread pudding was soft and creamy......yum!!
